Originally from North Wales Nicholas moved to London to study BA (Hons) Moving Image Design at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication before becoming a freelance designer on a range of projects from broadcast to commercial work before getting into Directing documentaries and then music videos. Currently splitting his time between directing promos and running Box Television’s (Channel4/Bauer) Creative Department for the network's Music Channels (4Music, The Box, KISS, Kerrang! & Smash Hits). Before Box he has worked with a range of clients and studios including: Orange, Nokia, EMI, Electronic Arts, Sony Computer Entertainment, Technicolor, ITV, Viacom and Universal.
Believing in creating work that isn't limited by a single approach he is currently exploring the interplay between technique and narrative and how one can support the other. He is represented by Academy Films in the UK and Les Fils De in Paris both for Music VIdeo and Commercial work.
